Main Street

The Main Street service is a complete race prep recommended for new and used skis and includes the following:

1. Sidewall and topsheet shaping,
2. Elite race specific base grind,
3. Setting base bevel, (0.5 or 0.7 degrees are typical)
4. Setting and sharpening the side edge with ceramic stone for a sharper more durable finish, (3 degrees is typical)
5. Applying Base Prep wax. (This wax will be left on (not scraped) unless you choose the Hot Wax Add On option.)

Hot Wax Add On:  Temperature specific hot wax can be applied and scraped after the base prep wax at an additional cost. We will scrape the base prep wax, apply the wax option you choose and then scrape and buff the wax a final time.

Thermobag Option:  Skis are waxed with Base Prep wax and then heated at a low temperature for an extended time inside the Thermobag. This process allows the wax to penetrate the base of the ski. This wax will not be scraped unless you add the Hot Wax option.
